Donate to Support the Lowell Historical Society

Supporting the Lowell Historical Society guarantees the preservation of Lowell’s history and helps to provide access to Lowell’s past through archives and artifacts. Monetary gifts to the LHS help us to continue our mission of collecting, preserving, and sharing items from Lowell’s past. Donations in any amount will also help support special projects undertaken by the LHS including exhibits, publications, and community workshops. Please donate now to help guarantee the maintenance of Lowell’s history.

Would you like to donate an item?

The Lowell Historical Society actively collects archival materials related to the history of the City of Lowell. LHS collects materials from all time periods and welcomes personal papers, diaries, organizational records, mill information, postcards, and photographs. For artifacts, we request that you submit information about the item, its provenance, and its relationship to Lowell. We have limited storage space for artifacts, so the board’s designees will evaluate the item before accepting. Please contact the Lowell Historical Society using the form below before sending us any material so that we can confirm that it meets the LHS Collecting Policy. For items accepted, donors will be asked to complete the Deed of Gift form to mail with the item.
